Who We Are Sulaimaniyah Trust is a family managed non-profit organization (NPO), registered under the laws of Pakistan approved per Rules of the Income Tax Ordinance.
What We Do The Trust supports pursuit of knowledge, skills, and economic livelihood by individuals aspiring to improve their lives and invests in the social sectors of health and education. We help displaced persons post disasters, facilitate their rehabilitation and empower them through sustainable economic engagement. We cooperate with pre-approved NPOs in health and education. Our Trustees founded and worked at start up stage with many of the NGOs, volunteered to raise funds and see these on the path to progress. Broadly these fall under Humanitarian Assistance and Development Cooperation. In recent years, Pakistan faced natural disasters - October 2005 crippling earthquake in the north; 2010 devastating floods in the riverine areas of the Indus from north to south and 2011 torrential rains in Sindh - and through the never-ending War on Terror, we continue to inflict upon our innocent citizens deaths and displacement that are unseen in recent times in our Region. Philanthropy is alive in Pakistan. Many NGOs serve the indigent populations during these difficult times. From the lessons we learnt during the last seven years, prompt us to identify honest workers in Government, support them to build their capacity and that of their institutions. In the process we transfer good governance and transparent accounting and reporting systems to the organisation and leverage their existing resources to deliver services to the indigent population. Succession is an integral aspect of our Initiatives.
