Operates four purpose-built rehab centres in earthquake-hit areas of Northern Pakistan and Kashmir devastated in October 2005. It serves the physically challenged persons of that area,whether on account of a natural calamity, man-made disasters, congenital deformities or afflicted by polio.
Children Amputee Rehabilitation Programme Trust
Children under twelve years of age are provided replacement prostheses till they reach adulthood and are seen through high school.
Murshid Hospital and Health Care Centre (MHHCC)
A 100-bed general hospital in suburban Karachi has spawned and sustained the foregoing initiatives. It offers all primary and secondary healthcare services to the underprivileged communities around it.
More specifically it focuses on improving health standards of women and infants. To supplement the mission of UNFPA, MHHCC is collaborating with Members of national societies and associations to facilitate the repair of obstetric fistula and rehabilitate these women
